Question
What should I check before using an AI image?
Check it at full size, not as a thumbnail: hands, faces, text, logos, reflections and shadows. Then check the product or subject against reality, the size and shape for where it will run, your rights under the tool's terms, and whether the platform or law requires an AI label.
Run the same checks on every image you plan to use, in this order, so nothing slips through when you are busy.
Do the check on the version you will publish, not an earlier one, and keep a note of the prompt and references used in case you need to build on it.
In ImageQuarry, every version is kept with the prompts and references that made it, and you compare versions side by side before you download the one you approve.
| Check | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Details at 100 percent zoom | Fingers, teeth, eyes, jewelry, edges of objects |
| Text and logos | Every letter, compared with the real artwork |
| Physics | Shadows, reflections and perspective agree |
| Accuracy | The product, place or person looks like the real one |
| Size and crop | Pixel size and shape fit the channel |
| Rights | The tool's terms and anything recognizable in the image |
| Disclosure | Whether the platform or your market requires a label |
