Question
Can I use AI images commercially?
Usually, yes, if the tool's terms allow commercial use and the image does not copy someone else's protected work, likeness or trademark. Check the provider's terms first, because they decide what you may do with outputs.
Three things decide it. First, the terms of the tool you used: they set what you may do with outputs and may differ by plan. Second, what the image contains: a recognizable person, a brand logo or a copy of an existing artwork brings rights that belong to someone else. Third, where you publish: ad platforms and marketplaces have their own rules.
Commercial use does not give you exclusive rights. Under current US Copyright Office guidance, purely AI-generated material is not protected by copyright, so a competitor could use a similar image. See Can AI images be copyrighted?.
Marketplaces add conditions. Adobe Stock, for example, requires contributors to have all necessary rights, to check their AI tool's license terms and to label AI content.
This is general information, not legal advice, and the rules differ by country.
