Midjourney and Recraft: the differences that matter
Vectors and print files
Recraft makes editable vectors, converts raster images to SVG and lists custom DPI and CMYK for Pro use. Midjourney's docs, as captured in October 2026, describe image sizes in pixels, with HD images at 2048 by 2048.
Volume on a subscription
Midjourney Standard, Pro and Mega include unlimited Relax mode generations, and extra fast GPU time is $4 an hour. Recraft plans give monthly credits that reset each cycle and do not roll over.
Exploring and steering
Midjourney Draft mode makes a batch of 24 images at 512 by 512 pixels, and Conversational Mode helps you write prompts in plain language. Recraft builds reusable custom styles from images you drop in.
Keeping images private
Midjourney's Stealth Mode, which keeps images private, is only on the Pro and Mega plans. Recraft keeps images from any paid plan private and out of its community gallery.
Commercial use
Midjourney says any subscriber may use images in just about any way, with Pro or Mega required for companies above $1,000,000 in yearly revenue. Recraft grants ownership and commercial rights on paid plans only.
API and integrations
Recraft offers an API and lists Figma, Framer, Chrome and Google add-ons. No public Midjourney API was found on the pages read.
