Question

Can AI generate readable text in images?

Yes, current models can render legible text, but not reliably every time. Short text works best, and every word needs proofreading before use. Model makers still list text rendering among the limits of their image models, especially for long or precisely placed text.

Proofread every word at full size. Misspelled words and warped letters are easy to miss in a thumbnail.

Keep the text short and give it exactly, in quotation marks. Google's limitations page suggests generating the text first and then asking for an image that contains it.

For text that must be exact, such as prices, legal lines or a logo, the safer route is to leave clear space in the image and set the type in a design tool.

In ImageQuarry, if one word comes out wrong, you can ask for that word to be corrected on the version you have instead of starting again.
