ImageQuarry and Dzine: the differences that matter

Layers and hands-on control

Dzine gives you a layer-based board, an auto-selection tool that splits an image into layers, and local edits that change specific areas "without affecting the rest". Designers who compose by hand get control that a conversation alone does not offer.

Consistent characters and video

Dzine can create reusable characters with multiple views, outfits and expressions, and its toolset includes text to video, image to video and lip sync. Those suit series and story work.

Published export limits and terms

Dzine publishes exports up to 6144px and lists commercial use and private generation on paid plans, with non-commercial, public generation on Free. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications or rights terms.

The conversation as the record

ImageQuarry keeps the prompt, the uploaded source, the references, each conversational change and every version together, so you can see how the image became what it is. You can return to any version and branch in another direction.

Choosing a model

Dzine lists many image and video models, including Nano Banana Pro, Seedream 4.5, Sora 2 and Kling 2.6. ImageQuarry offers four image models with Nano Banana 2.1 as the default, so most requests need no model choice at all.

About each product

ImageQuarry

ImageQuarry is a conversational AI image workspace. You describe an image or upload one, then ask for specific changes in words, such as new lighting, a different background or an added object. Each change makes a new version and earlier versions are kept, so you can make variations, branch from any version, add reference images and organize the work in projects and a library. You can choose between four image models: Nano Banana 2.1 (the default), Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. Plans: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, and Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month, with optional metered overage that is off unless you turn it on. Every plan is paid. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications or rights terms yet, and it is not a headshot or background removal tool.

Dzine

Dzine calls itself "The Creative Canvas For Serious AI Production" for individual creators, creative groups and production workflows. It combines a Chat Editor for text edits, local edits, object insertion, background tools, generative fill and consistent characters on a layer-based board, plus video tools. Paid plans include commercial use and private generation; the Free plan is non-commercial and public. Prices run from Beginner at $8.99 a month to Master Pro at $149.99, or $7 to $120 a month billed annually. Its homepage and pricing page disagree about free daily credits, and Dzine says it is "Trusted by Over 5,000,000+ Creators".

Which one fits your work

Choose ImageQuarry when

  • You want to work by asking, without layers or selections
  • You want every change kept and the option to branch from any earlier version
  • You want a short, fixed list of models

Choose Dzine when

  • You compose with layers and want local edits on selected areas
  • You need consistent characters across many images, or video
  • You need published export sizes and commercial terms today
  • You want annual billing or a free starting allowance

How to try both on the same image

  1. Pick a composite you need, such as a product placed in a styled room.
  2. In Dzine, build it on the layer board, then use the Chat Editor or a local edit to adjust one area.
  3. In ImageQuarry, describe the composite, add a reference for the material, and ask for two changes in turn.
  4. Compare the effort: assembling layers by hand, or steering by conversation with each version kept.
