Question
Why doesn't the AI image follow my prompt?
Usually because the prompt is vague, contradicts itself, asks for too many things at once, or names what to leave out. Fix one thing at a time. Models also have known weak spots, such as exact text, precise layouts and recurring characters, where they miss instructions more often.
Vague words leave the choice to the model. "Nice lighting" could mean anything; "soft window light from the left" is a decision.
Negative wording often backfires, because the unwanted thing is still in the description. Google advises describing the scene you want instead, such as "an empty street" rather than "no cars".
Some misses are limits of the model. OpenAI notes that its image model can still struggle with precise text placement, consistent recurring characters and layout-sensitive compositions.
In ImageQuarry, select the version that is closest, ask for the one change that matters most, and compare the new version with the earlier ones. You can also choose a different model when you want a different result for the same request.
