Question
What is a negative prompt?
A negative prompt is a separate instruction that lists what you do not want in the image, such as blur, extra fingers or text. Some tools offer it as its own field: Stability AI's API, for example, has a negative prompt parameter for what you do not wish to see.
Not every model has a negative prompt field. Conversational image models, such as Google's Gemini image models, take one written instruction, and Google advises describing what you want: "an empty, deserted street with no signs of traffic" instead of "no cars".
Naming an unwanted thing in an ordinary prompt can make it more likely to appear, because the word is still part of the description.
If an unwanted object appears anyway, remove it in an edit: ask for that one object to be removed and say what to keep.
In ImageQuarry you write instructions in plain language. Describe the scene you want, and if something unwanted shows up, ask for it to be removed from that version.
