Question

Should I upload photos of other people to an AI tool?

Only with their permission, and never sensitive images such as children, IDs or private moments. Once uploaded, their photo is handled under that tool's privacy policy, so read it first. For client work, get consent in writing.

Ask first, and say what you plan to do with the result, for example for portraits or product shoots with models.

If you plan to sell or publish the result, you may need a release. Adobe Stock, for example, requires a model release when AI content depicts or is based on an identifiable real person, including when their photo is used as a prompt.

Keep the upload to what the edit needs: crop out bystanders, and remove location metadata.

For the legal side of editing real people, see Can I use AI to edit a photo of a real person?.

This is general information, not legal advice, and the rules differ by country.
