Question
Can I edit an earlier version instead of the latest one?
Yes, in tools that support branching: you select the earlier version and ask for a different change, and the later versions stay as they were. The result starts a separate line of edits. ImageQuarry lets you branch from an earlier version.
This is the fix for a sequence of edits that went in the wrong direction. Instead of undoing three changes one by one, you go back to the last version you liked and give a new instruction from there.
OpenAI's prompting guide describes the basic loop: pass the previous output as the next edit input, request one change, and repeat the details to preserve. Editing an earlier version is the same loop, started from a different image.
ImageQuarry keeps the later versions too, so you can compare both lines of edits before you choose one to download.
