EDIT IMAGES

See a new floor in your room before ordering samples

Flooring samples are small, and a floor covers the whole room. In ImageQuarry you upload a photo of the room, select it and describe the floor you are considering: wide white oak planks in a matte finish, large-format grey porcelain tiles, a herringbone parquet, a wool carpet in oatmeal. Every request creates a new version and the earlier ones stay, so you can compare floors under the same light and with the same furniture.

Name the material, color, plank or tile size and pattern, and keep walls and furniture.

How to change a floor with ImageQuarry

  1. 01

Photograph as much floor as possible

Upload a photo taken from a doorway or corner so a large area of floor is visible. Rugs and furniture can stay, but bare floor is what the request needs to work with.

  2. 02

    Describe the floor precisely

Floors differ by material, color, size and pattern. Say all four, such as narrow honey oak strips laid straight, or 60 by 60 terrazzo-look tiles. Ask to keep the walls, furniture and rugs, and review the new version.

  3. 03

    Compare patterns and tones

Make a version per option and compare them together. Choose one and download it to bring to the flooring showroom.

Floor requests to try

Example requests. Each creates a new version to compare.

Light wide planks

Pale, wide planks make a room feel larger and calmer.

Herringbone

Pattern draws the eye, so check it with your furniture in place.

Large tiles

Fewer grout lines make a space look continuous.

Warm carpet

Bedrooms often go back to carpet for warmth and quiet.

Checkerboard

Classic in kitchens and hallways, but bold in photos.

Dark floor

Dark floors look rich but show dust; see them in your room first.

What to weigh in a floor preview

Light and wall color

A floor's tone is read against the walls and the light. Warm light deepens wood; cool daylight greys it. Compare floors in the same photo to keep that constant.

Direction and pattern

Planks laid along the longest wall make a room feel longer; patterns like herringbone add movement. Ask for the direction you plan to lay.

Scale of tiles and planks

Large formats reduce grout and joints; small formats add texture. In a small room, very large tiles can feel out of proportion, so try more than one size.

Practical matters

Water resistance, wear, underfloor heating and maintenance matter as much as looks; check them with the supplier before ordering.

Start from your room

Upload the room photo and ask for the floor in words; each request is a new version and earlier versions stay.

What is an AI floor change?

It is an edit where you describe a new floor for a room photo in words, and an AI image editor makes a new version with it while you say what else to keep. ImageQuarry keeps every flooring option as a version.

It is not a flooring retailer's visualizer and it does not calculate quantities or prices. Order samples before buying.

Floor questions

Can I see a new floor in a photo of my room?

Yes. Upload the photo, select it and describe the floor. ImageQuarry creates a new version with that floor.

Will my furniture and rugs stay put?

Ask to keep them. A request can say what to keep as well as what to change; compare the new version with the original.

Can I compare oak and tile?

Yes. Make one version per option and compare them together, then download your choice.

Can I copy a floor I saw elsewhere?

Add that photo as a reference. References guide the result; review each version to see how closely it follows them.

Which direction should planks run?

Often along the longest wall or toward the main light source. Ask for both directions in separate versions and compare.

Can I keep track of options for several rooms?

Yes. Organize each room in a project and come back to its versions later.

Create an image. Edit it with words. Keep refining.

Walk on it in the photo first

Upload the room, describe the floor, and compare each option as its own version.
