EDIT IMAGES
See new countertops on a photo of your kitchen
Countertops are expensive, permanent and chosen from a slab or a sample the size of a coaster. In ImageQuarry you upload a photo of your kitchen, select it and ask for the counters you are considering: white quartz with soft grey veining, honed black granite, warm butcher block, a concrete-look surface. Each request makes a new version and the earlier ones remain, so you can compare counters against your own cabinets, splashback and light.
Name the material, color, veining and edge, and keep the cabinets, floor and appliances.

How to change countertops with ImageQuarry
- 01
Shoot the kitchen with counters in view
Upload a photo that shows the main counter run, the cabinets below and the splashback above. Clear the counters if you can; clutter hides the surface you want to judge.
- 02
Describe the surface
Say the material and the look: polished, honed or matte; veined, speckled or plain; the edge profile if it matters. Keep the cabinets, splashback, floor and appliances, and review the new version.
- 03
Compare with the cabinets
Make one version per countertop and compare them together. Pick the one that works with your cabinet color and download it for the fabricator.
Countertop requests
Example requests; each produces a new version.
Classic white quartz
White quartz with soft veining is one of the most requested looks.
Honed dark stone
Dark matte surfaces feel modern and hide crumbs, but show water marks.
Warm wood
Butcher block softens white or green cabinets.
Concrete look
Concrete or concrete-look surfaces suit industrial kitchens.
Island contrast
Many kitchens use a different counter on the island.
Waterfall edge
A waterfall edge carries the counter down the island side.
What to check when choosing counters
Cabinets lead the palette
Counters are judged against cabinet color first. White on white feels bright and seamless; contrast makes the counter a feature.
Finish affects upkeep
Polished surfaces reflect light and look crisp; honed and matte surfaces hide some marks but can show others. Ask about care for each material.
Veining and pattern scale
Large dramatic veining reads differently across a long run than on a sample. A full-kitchen preview shows how busy it will look.
Seams and edges
Long runs have seams and every counter has an edge profile. These details are worth discussing with the fabricator after you choose a look.
Every option kept
Each request makes a new version, earlier ones remain, and you can compare them, choose one and download it.
Counter and cabinet pairings
| Cabinets | Counters often paired | How to ask |
|---|---|---|
| White | Marble look, butcher block, black | Butcher block counters, keep white cabinets |
| Navy or green | White quartz, brass accents | White quartz with subtle veining |
| Natural wood | Matte white, concrete | Matte white solid surface counters |
| Black | Light stone, wood | Light oak butcher block |
| Grey | White, warm wood | Warm walnut counters |
| Two-tone | Contrasting island | White island top, dark perimeter counters |
What is an AI countertop change?
It is an edit where you describe new countertops for a kitchen or bathroom photo in words, and an AI image editor makes a new version with them while you say what to keep. ImageQuarry keeps each option for comparison.
It is not a slab selection or a quote. View real slabs before you buy, because natural stone varies piece by piece.
Countertop questions
Can I preview new countertops on my kitchen photo?
Yes. Upload the photo, select it and describe the counters. ImageQuarry creates a new version and keeps the original.
Will the cabinets and appliances stay the same?
Name them as things to keep. A request can say what to keep as well as what to change; compare the new version against the original.
Can I try a different counter on the island?
Yes. Ask for the island alone in one version and both in another, then compare.
Can I show a slab I liked?
Add a photo of the slab as a reference. References guide the result; review each version to see how closely it follows them.
Does the preview show the exact stone?
No preview can. Natural stone varies slab to slab, so visit the yard and choose the actual slab.
What does it cost to use ImageQuarry?
Plans are paid monthly: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, or Pro with more monthly usage.
