AI INTERIORS
Picture a new kitchen on the one you already have
Kitchens are the most expensive room to change and the hardest to imagine: cabinet color, counter material, backsplash, hardware and lighting all interact, and a sample door in a showroom tells you little about a whole wall of them. In ImageQuarry you upload a photo of your kitchen and ask for changes in words, one surface at a time. Each change is a new version, so you can compare painted cabinets with wood, or a stone counter with a solid one, on your own room.
Kitchen concepts help you choose finishes and color. They do not replace a kitchen designer's plan.

How to explore kitchen ideas with ImageQuarry
- 01
Take a straight-on photo of the main wall
The run of cabinets you see most is the one to test on. Daylight and an empty counter make the surfaces easiest to read. Or describe the kitchen you are planning: its shape, where the window and sink are, how you cook.
- 02
Change surfaces one at a time
Ask for the cabinets first, then the counter, then the backsplash. Changing everything at once makes it hard to tell which choice you like.
- 03
Keep what you are not replacing
If the appliances and the floor are staying, say so in the request. Review the new version to see how closely it kept them.
- 04
Compare finishes side by side
Keep each finish as its own version, compare them, and download the combinations you want to price.
Kitchen requests to start from
Painted cabinets
Painting existing doors is one of the most common kitchen updates, and color is hard to choose from a swatch.
A new backsplash
Tile shape and grout color change the look more than people expect.
Open shelves instead of uppers
Removing some upper cabinets makes a kitchen feel lighter but costs storage.
Warmer counters
Wood or warm stone counters soften an all-white kitchen.
Better task lighting
Under-cabinet lights and pendants over an island change how a kitchen works at night.
Hardware swap
Handles are a small change with a big visual effect.
What to think about before a kitchen change
The work triangle still matters
The paths between sink, stove and fridge decide how a kitchen feels to use. Concepts that move appliances around are fun, but moving plumbing is the expensive part of any remodel.
Counters and cabinets are a pair
A busy stone counter usually wants plain cabinets, and a strong cabinet color usually wants a quiet counter. Try them together, not separately.
Finish changes perceived color
Gloss cabinets look lighter and show fingerprints; matte looks softer. Mention the finish in the request and check real samples before ordering.
Light reveals texture
Under-cabinet lighting shows off a textured backsplash but also every grout line. Try the backsplash with the lights on in a second version.
Your kitchen stays the starting point
Start from an uploaded photo and describe how it should change; each request builds on the selected version instead of starting again.
Every finish is kept
Each change produces a new version and earlier versions are preserved, so comparing cabinet colors is just a matter of opening them side by side.
Kitchen surfaces and what to ask
| Surface | What usually changes | Example request |
|---|---|---|
| Cabinet fronts | Color, door style, finish | Shaker doors in sage green with a matte finish |
| Counters | Material, edge, color | A thin white quartz counter with a square edge |
| Backsplash | Tile shape, pattern, grout | Green zellige tiles up to the underside of the uppers |
| Lighting | Pendants, under-cabinet light | Three glass pendants over the island |
| Hardware and taps | Finish and shape | Brushed brass knobs and a matching tap |
What is AI kitchen design?
AI kitchen design is using an image model to picture a kitchen from a description, or to show new cabinets, counters, tiles and lighting on a photo of an existing kitchen, by describing the changes in words. ImageQuarry keeps each change as a separate version for comparison.
It is not a kitchen design plan, a quote or a cabinet layout with measurements. Use it to choose finishes, then work with a kitchen designer or supplier on the real plan.
Kitchen design questions
Can I see new cabinet colors on my kitchen?
Yes. Upload a photo, select it and ask for the new color, naming what should stay, like the counters and appliances. Each color you try becomes its own version.
Will it change my appliances by accident?
Ask for the cabinets only and list the appliances as things to keep. Requests can say what to keep, but look at each new version to check how closely it followed that.
Can I compare two backsplash tiles?
Yes. Make one version per tile, or branch from the same starting version for each so they share everything else.
Can I use a photo from a showroom as a guide?
Attach it as a reference. References guide the result and each version shows how closely it followed them; it is a direction, not a copy.
Does it plan the layout for me?
No. ImageQuarry shows how a kitchen could look. Layout, plumbing and electrical decisions need a kitchen designer or contractor.
Which image model should I use?
Nano Banana 2.1 is the default. You can choose another of the four models when you want a different result for the same request.
