ImageQuarry and Replicate: the differences that matter

Fine-tuning and deploying models

Replicate lets you "Run and fine-tune models. Deploy custom models." with private models billed for all the time they are online. ImageQuarry does not offer model training or deployment.

Comparing models

Replicate's Playground offers "easy comparison of models" on desktop. ImageQuarry compares versions of your image instead, and you switch among its four models when you want a different result for the same request.

Paying for what runs

Replicate bills hosted image models per output, such as $0.04 per image for flux-1.1-pro, and other models by GPU time, as of October 2026, with a limited number of no-card runs on some models. ImageQuarry plans are monthly and paid.

Ownership terms

Replicate's Terms grant you its rights in outputs, including commercial use, subject to third-party model terms. ImageQuarry has not published rights terms.

A history you do not have to build

ImageQuarry keeps each change as a new version with its conversation, and you can branch from any version. On Replicate, keeping a history across runs is up to your own application.

About each product

ImageQuarry

ImageQuarry is a conversational AI image workspace. You describe an image or upload one, then ask for specific changes in words, such as new lighting, a different background or an added object. Each change makes a new version and earlier versions are kept, so you can make variations, branch from any version, add reference images and organize the work in projects and a library. You can choose between four image models: Nano Banana 2.1 (the default), Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. Plans: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, and Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month, with optional metered overage that is off unless you turn it on. Every plan is paid. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications or rights terms yet, and it is not a headshot or background removal tool.

Replicate

Replicate (replicate.com) says "Run AI with an API." It hosts open and proprietary models, from Nano Banana 2 and Imagen 4 Ultra to FLUX.2 and Seedream, plus thousands contributed by its community, and lets you fine-tune and deploy your own. Billing is usage based, per output image or by hardware time, with enterprise SLAs on request and a "Try for Free" collection for limited runs. Its blog announced on November 17, 2025 that Replicate is joining Cloudflare and will "carry on as a distinct brand." Replicate says "Thousands of businesses are building their AI products on Replicate."
