Higgsfield and Leonardo AI: the differences that matter

Training your own model is a Leonardo feature

Leonardo lets users "train/fine-tune their own models" from "a small collection of images (typically 10 to 20)", and its paid plans list personal AI models. Higgsfield's Soul ID keeps one character consistent, and the pages read describe no general model training.

Ownership on the free tier

Leonardo says paid subscribers keep full ownership, while on the free tier Leonardo "holds rights to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute" your images and free creations are public. Higgsfield says you own outputs on any plan, though free generations carry its watermark and it may use content to train its models.

Video and ads tools lead at Higgsfield

Higgsfield's navigation puts Video, Cinema Studio, Ads Studio and AI Influencer next to Image, and it promotes Seedance 2.5 as a video model. Leonardo also generates video with models including Kling 3.0 and Veo 3.1, but its homepage frames it as a platform for images, art and video.

Apps on the phone

Leonardo has an iOS app and an Android app as well as its web app and API. Higgsfield offers a web app, an API, an MCP server and a ChatGPT plugin; no mobile app was found on its site.

Yearly billing is clearer at Leonardo

Leonardo's pricing shows yearly prices of $10, $24 and $48 a month against $12, $30 and $60 monthly. Higgsfield says annual billing costs less per month but gives an annual figure only for Ultra, $99 a month on its blog.

ImageQuarry takes a conversational route through image work. You start from a description or an uploaded photo, then ask for one change at a time, such as "Add a sharp beam of sunlight from above.", and every change becomes a new version you can return to. Variations, branches and references sit in the same project. Starter and Pro are paid monthly plans.
