Remini alternatives for photo enhancement and restoration
Remini is a photo enhancer from Bending Spoons that unblurs, denoises, restores and enlarges photos and videos on the web and in mobile apps, with generative "AI Photos" of yourself on mobile. People look elsewhere because its terms grant use only for personal and non-commercial purposes, it publishes no pricing page (the App Store lists weekly plans), and it does not describe editing a photo by typing a change. Let's Enhance fits people who need commercial use and published prices, Topaz Photo fits photographers on a desktop, VanceAI and Deep-Image.ai fit large upscales on the web, and Photo AI fits AI photos of yourself. ImageQuarry fits people who want to change what is in a photo by describing it.
We make ImageQuarry, one of the alternatives below. Remini and each alternative were compared on enhancement and restoration, upscaling size, usage terms, published plans, platforms and editing in words, using each vendor's public pages, checked October 20, 2026.

What is Remini?
Remini runs as a web app titled "Remini Web | Photo Enhancer" and as iOS and Android apps, and is owned by Bending Spoons. Its try page lists nine enhancement tools, including Unblur and Sharpener, Denoiser, Old Photos Restorer and Video Enhancer, and its enlarger makes photos and videos up to 2x larger, up to 4096 by 4096 pixels. On mobile, AI Photos generates "hyper-realistic photos or alter ego versions of yourself". The iOS listing promises clear HD "in just ONE TAP".
Remini improves photos you already have; generating from a written prompt and editing by describing a change are not mentioned on its pages.
Remini pricing
Remini publishes no pricing page (remini.ai/pricing returns 404) and the web app shows no prices. The figures below are in-app purchases from the US App Store listing, which says plans come in weekly, monthly and yearly lengths and renew automatically. Prices as of October 2026, from remini.ai. The try page marks AI Photos "Available only on mobile".
No typed editing
Generating from a prompt and editing by describing a change are not mentioned on Remini's pages.

The enlarger goes up to 2x and up to 4096 by 4096 pixels.
Why people look for a Remini alternative
- You enhance photos for clients or a business, and Remini's terms limit use to personal and non-commercial purposes.
- You want a published monthly price instead of weekly in-app plans and no pricing page.
- You need enlargements beyond 4096 by 4096 pixels for print.
- You want AI photos of yourself on the web, and Remini's AI Photos is only on mobile.
- You want to change what is in the photo by describing it, which Remini's pages do not mention.
The 6 Remini alternatives
Ordered by fit for Remini's main job, enhancing and restoring photos, and then by how many of the reasons above (commercial use, published prices, larger upscales) each one answers. Photo AI covers only the AI Photos reason, and ImageQuarry is last because it does not enhance or upscale photos.
1. Let's Enhance
Best for: Sellers and designers who enhance and enlarge photos for commercial use
How it differs from Remini: Let's Enhance covers Remini's enhance, unblur and restore tools on the web, but its FAQ says images can be used for commercial purposes and its plans are priced on the page. The upscaler goes up to 16x, and a Chat Editor changes an uploaded photo from typed instructions such as "remove blemishes".
Price: Starter $12 a month on monthly billing ($9 a month annually); 10 credits when you sign up (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Free results carry a watermark, Chat Editor outputs come out at 1MP before upscaling, and remaining credits are lost when you cancel.
2. Topaz Photo (formerly Topaz Photo AI)
Best for: Photographers who enhance RAW and high resolution files on their own computer
How it differs from Remini: Topaz Photo is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that denoises, sharpens, recovers faces and upscales, rendering locally so files stay on your computer. It works as a plug-in for Photoshop, Lightroom Classic and Capture One, and its Personal plan allows commercial use for organizations under $1M in annual revenue.
Price: Personal $39 a month billed monthly, or $199 a year billed annually (list prices) (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: It needs a capable computer (16GB RAM, a 6GB VRAM GPU on Windows), does not run on Linux, and Personal plans run on one computer at a time.
3. VanceAI
Best for: People who want a broad enhancement toolkit on the web or a Windows PC
How it differs from Remini: VanceAI offers a wider enhancement menu than Remini, from upscaling, denoising and restoration to colorizing, anime upscaling and passport photos, with video tools alongside. It publishes monthly and annual plans, and its Windows desktop app processes locally with no size limits.
Price: 10 credits to try; 200 credits for $20 a month billed monthly (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Its user agreement does not address ownership or commercial use of outputs, and web uploads are capped at 10MB and 34MP.
4. Deep-Image.ai
Best for: Very large upscales, with prompt-based edits on the side
How it differs from Remini: Deep-Image.ai is an enhancer and upscaler that goes up to 300 megapixels, far past Remini's 4096 pixel limit. It also has Prompt Based Edit, a chat-like editor with full history where you can jump back to an earlier iteration and branch, and it says you are the only owner of your work.
Price: Free credits on sign-up; credits from as low as $0.04 each (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Named plan prices were not in the page text, the page states 10 and 5 free credits in different places, and you lose remaining credits when you cancel.
5. Photo AI
Best for: People who mainly use Remini's AI Photos and want them on the web
How it differs from Remini: Photo AI does what Remini's AI Photos does, on the web: you upload 5 to 15 photos to train a personal model, then generate photos of yourself from prompts and photo packs. Magic Edit changes a photo from typed text, and the Pro plan and above include a commercial use license.
Price: From $19 a month (Starter, monthly billing) (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: No free plan or trial is listed, Starter is for personal use only, and Photo AI no longer has an iOS app.
6. ImageQuarry
Best for: Changing what is in a photo, such as the setting or light, by describing it
How it differs from Remini: Remini makes an existing photo clearer and larger in one tap. ImageQuarry does a different job: you upload a photo and describe a change, such as a new background, warmer light or a different color direction, and each request becomes a new version you can compare with the earlier ones.
Price: Paid plans only: $9 (Starter) or $29 (Pro) each month (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: ImageQuarry does not restore, unblur or upscale photos, it is not a headshot service, and every plan is paid.
Who should stay with Remini
- You fix personal photos on your phone, and one-tap enhancement is all you need.
- You restore old family photos for yourself, where the personal-use terms are not a problem.
- You use AI Photos on mobile for fun versions of yourself.
How to try an alternative alongside Remini
- Save the enhanced photos and videos you want to keep from the Remini app or app.remini.ai.
- Pick three originals that Remini handled well and three it struggled with, and run all six through the alternative.
- If you use the results for work, read the alternative's terms on commercial use before you rely on it.
- Cancel the Remini plan through the App Store or Google Play where you bought it, since weekly plans renew automatically.
Does not carry over: Remini subscriptions bought in the App Store or Google Play, and AI Photos made on mobile, stay with Remini.
