Img2Go alternatives for describing photo edits in words
Img2Go is a browser suite from QaamGo Web GmbH for converting, compressing and enhancing images, and its AI Photo Editor changes an upload from a description. That editor and the Art Generator are where it meets ImageQuarry; file conversion is a different job. People look elsewhere because the editor names no models and describes no region selection or version history, and plan prices did not load in the pricing page text. Pixlr is the nearest swap with a saved history, BeFunky shows its prices and adds a fidelity control, and MyEdit lets you brush the area to change. ImageQuarry is for people who edit the same photo over several rounds and want every round saved as its own version.
We make ImageQuarry, one of the alternatives below. Img2Go and each alternative were compared on editing in words, edit control and history, model choice, visible prices, how you start and batch work, using each vendor's public pages, checked October 20, 2026.

What is Img2Go?
Img2Go describes itself as a place to "Edit, convert, compress, and enhance images in your browser", with 27 apps that include an Art Generator, upscaling, colorizing, restoration, background removal and face blurring. Its AI Photo Editor works in three steps: "Upload a photo, describe what you want changed, and download the result", with no sliders or layers. The editor offers default, advanced and fast modes, accepts JPG, PNG and WebP, and saves the result in the same format as the original file.
Img2Go is mainly a file conversion and image utility suite; its AI Photo Editor is the one tool that does the job this page compares.
Img2Go pricing
Img2Go's pricing page has a Monthly and Yearly toggle, but plan prices load by script and were not in the fetched page; extra users cost €5 per user per month. Its blog says annual subscriptions save money compared with monthly ones without giving an amount, and unused credits do not roll over. Prices as of October 2026, from img2go.com. Check the vendor for current pricing.

What Img2Go does well
Edits with no tools to learn
The AI Photo Editor needs only an upload and a description, and Img2Go lists jobs such as replacing a background, removing an object, transferring a style, improving light, adding elements and changing colors.
Keeps your file format
JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP uploads are accepted, and the edited result is saved in the same format as the original.
A try without signing up
Anyone can make 2 edits per 24 hours with no account.
Utilities beyond AI
The same site converts, compresses and enhances images across 27 apps, runs in the browser on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS, and has Chrome and Firefox extensions plus Zapier and Make connections.
Stated purchase terms
The pricing page lists a 14-day money-back guarantee, cancel anytime, and "No AI training on files."
Where Img2Go falls short
Unnamed models and no history
The editor's modes are labeled only default, advanced and fast, and the page describes no region selection or version history.
Prices are not readable
Plan prices load by script and did not appear in the fetched pricing page; only the €5 extra-user fee was readable.
Credits expire each month
Starter gets 480 credits, Pro 2,800 and Business 10,000 a month, and unused credits do not roll over.
The free plan excludes AI usage
Apart from the 2 no-account edits a day, the pricing page lists AI usage as "Not included" on Free.
Plan details disagree
The Starter card lists Zapier and Make automation and document sharing, while the features table marks both not included on Starter.
Why people look for a Img2Go alternative
- You want to go back to an earlier edit or limit a change to one area, and Img2Go's editor page describes neither.
- You want to know which model is editing your photo, while Img2Go only labels modes default, advanced and fast.
- You want to read a price before you subscribe, and Img2Go's plan prices did not load in its pricing page text.
- You need more than 2 AI edits a day before paying, since the free plan otherwise leaves AI usage out.
The 5 Img2Go alternatives
Ordered by fit to the reasons above: control over edits and a way back to earlier ones first, then named models and readable prices, then room to try before paying.
1. Pixlr
Best for: Img2Go users who want browser editing by prompt with earlier versions saved
How it differs from Img2Go: Pixlr's Instruct Editor also changes an image from a typed prompt, and it saves up to 10 versions you can click back to. For changes to one area, Generative Fill lets you select it and describe what to generate. Its generator names its models, from Flux Schnell to Nano Banana 2.
Price: Free version, no account needed; Plus is $2.49 a month on monthly billing (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Pixlr's FAQ says Plus gives unlimited editing, while its pricing page lists 80 monthly AI credits for Plus.
2. BeFunky
Best for: Browser editors who want published prices, a fidelity control and batch AI tools
How it differs from Img2Go: BeFunky's Smart Edit also takes a plain description, and adds Variation to explore several outcomes and Fidelity to set how closely the result matches the original. Its prices are readable: Plus is US$14.99 a month billed monthly. Like Img2Go it runs in the browser and can be used free with no account.
Price: Usable free without an account; Plus costs US$14.99 monthly, billed monthly (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Smart Edit names no model, batch AI editing is Pro only, and monthly AI credits do not roll over.
3. ImageQuarry
Best for: People who make several rounds of edits to one photo and want each round kept
How it differs from Img2Go: Img2Go's editor turns a description into a result you download. ImageQuarry keeps going from there: you pick a version, describe the next change, and the earlier versions stay so you can return to or branch from any of them. The model is a visible choice of four, with Nano Banana 2.1 as the default.
Price: Starter $9 monthly or Pro $29 monthly (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: ImageQuarry is a workspace for creating and editing images, so file conversion and compression stay with Img2Go; every plan is paid, and no output specifications are published yet.
4. MyEdit
Best for: People who want to brush the exact area an edit should touch
How it differs from Img2Go: MyEdit's Edit by Chat lets you modify a photo by chatting, and a smart brush limits the edit to the area you highlight, which Img2Go's editor does not describe. It names its models, Nano Banana and Flux, and MyEdit Business Pro is $15 month to month.
Price: 3 credits a day free; Business Pro $15 month to month (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: The Edit by Chat page describes no version history, and the generator FAQ says exports are JPG.
5. PicWish
Best for: Sellers who batch background removal and also edit by conversation
How it differs from Img2Go: PicWish centres on background removal and product photos, and its AI Designer and Chat Edit change a photo from natural language. It names GPT Image 2.0 and Nano Banana models, has apps for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and offers an image editing API priced separately.
Price: Free plan (no credits included); $9.99 Monthly Subscription in the iOS app (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Web plan prices did not load in the fetched pricing page, the free plan has no credits or batch processing, and the page does not say you can pick the model.
Who should stay with Img2Go
- Most of your work is converting, compressing or resizing files, and AI edits are an occasional extra on the same site.
- Your team shares one plan, and Img2Go's Starter and Pro seats for 2 or 5 users fit how you work.
- Two quick edits a day without an account are all you need.
- You automate image jobs through Zapier or Make, or rely on the Chrome and Firefox extensions.
How to try an alternative alongside Img2Go
- Keep the original files you uploaded, since Img2Go saves edited results in the same format as the source and an alternative will start from the original.
- Write down the descriptions that gave good results in the AI Photo Editor, in full sentences.
- Try the same descriptions in the alternative and compare, including one edit where you want to go back a step or change only one area.
- Use up your monthly credits first if you plan to cancel, because Img2Go says unused credits do not roll over.
- Keep Img2Go for conversion and compression while the new tool takes over the AI edits.
Does not carry over: Img2Go's conversion settings, extensions and Zapier or Make automations are specific to Img2Go and need setting up again elsewhere.
