getimg.ai alternatives for multi-model image generation and editing

getimg.ai is a web creative studio that generates and edits images, video, music and speech with third party models such as FLUX 3, Seedream and Nano Banana 2.1, and its image editor works from a typed description of the change. The main sourced reasons to look elsewhere are that no free plan appears on its pricing page and plan credits do not roll over. Krea and Leonardo.Ai fit people who want a daily free allowance with many models, Leonardo.Ai and Recraft fit anyone who wants phone apps, OpenArt fits video-heavy creators, and ChatGPT Images fits editing in conversation. ImageQuarry fits people who pick the model themselves and keep every version of an image.

We make ImageQuarry, one of the alternatives below. getimg.ai and each alternative were compared on how you start, model choice, editing in words, usage rules, apps and developer access, using each vendor's public pages, checked October 20, 2026.

What is getimg.ai?

getimg.ai calls itself a "Creative AI Studio" where you "Create and edit images, videos, music, speech, and sound effects with leading AI models in one creative platform." Its homepage lists FLUX 3, FLUX 3 Klein, Seedream 5.0 Flash, Nano Banana 2.1 and two GPT Image 2.5 models, described as auto-selected for the task. The AI Image Editor asks you to "Describe the change", for example "make the jacket blue", and adds inpainting, object removal, background replacement and upscaling. Teams share spaces, folders and reusable Elements.

getimg.ai does not train its own image models: it runs third party models and adds an editor, team spaces and one-click Actions on top.

getimg.ai pricing

Prices exclude tax. Plan credits do not roll over to the next month, and only Plus and Ultra subscribers can buy more once they have less than 10% of the month's credits left. API credits are sold separately from subscriptions. The page says "Save 26% on yearly plans", but Entry shows $15 a month on both views. Prices as of October 2026, from getimg.ai. Check the vendor for current pricing.

What getimg.ai does well

Current third party models in one account

getimg.ai lists FLUX 3, FLUX 3 Klein, Seedream 5.0 Flash, Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, and its pricing table adds Grok Imagine, Qwen and Z-Image Turbo.

An editor that works from a described change

The AI Image Editor says to type what you want changed, such as removing a person or swapping a background, and it lists inpainting, background replacement with matched lighting, restyling and upscaling up to 16K.

Many references and reusable Elements

With Nano Banana 2.1 you can edit with up to 14 reference images, and teams can build an Element of a person, product or palette from up to 20 photos and call it with @ElementName.

More than images

The same plans cover video models such as Veo 3.1, Kling and Seedance, plus Lyria 3 music, text to speech and sound effects.

Commercial rights on every paid plan

Each plan card lists Commercial Rights, and the FAQ says all paid subscriptions allow commercial use.

Where getimg.ai falls short

No free plan on the pricing page

getimg.ai's pricing page lists four paid plans starting at $15 a month and no free plan.

Credits expire monthly, top-ups are restricted

Plan credits do not roll over, and extra credits can only be bought on Plus or Ultra once less than 10% of the month's credits remain.

The Entry plan is narrower

Entry includes "Access to selected models" and 2 generations at a time, while all models start on Core at $35 a month.

No yearly saving on Entry

Despite the "Save 26% on yearly plans" banner, Entry is $15 a month on both monthly and yearly billing ($180 billed yearly).

Web and API only

getimg.ai lists a web app and a separate API, with API credits not included in subscriptions; no phone app is listed on the pages read.

Why people look for a getimg.ai alternative

  • You want to try before you pay, and getimg.ai's pricing page shows no free plan.
  • Your usage varies month to month, and getimg.ai plan credits do not roll over, with top-ups only on Plus and Ultra.
  • You want every model on a low plan, and Entry gives access to selected models only.
  • You want to create from a phone app, and getimg.ai lists only a web app and an API.

The 6 getimg.ai alternatives

Ordered by how many of the reasons above each one answers: a free way to start first, then all models on the entry plan and phone apps. ImageQuarry answers none of these reasons, so it is last, though it fits people who want to choose the model and keep versions.

1. Krea

Best for: Model switchers who want a free daily allowance across image and video models

How it differs from getimg.ai: Krea's free plan opens all image and video models at 100 units a day, where getimg.ai lists no free plan and limits Entry to selected models. It adds its own Krea 3 model, a real-time canvas, a node editor and LoRA training on up to 50 images.

Price: Basic $9 a month billed monthly, after a free tier (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Paid compute units do not roll over either, and no iOS or Android app was found on Krea's pages.

2. Leonardo.Ai

Best for: Creators who want a daily free allowance, phone apps and an API in one account

How it differs from getimg.ai: Leonardo.Ai gives 150 fast tokens a day on its free plan and runs on iOS and Android as well as the web, which getimg.ai does not list. Paid plans include a token bank (25,500 on Essential), and its model list spans FLUX.2 Pro, GPT Image 2.5, Ideogram 4.5, Nano Banana 2 and its own Lucid and Phoenix.

Price: Essential $12 a month billed monthly (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Free plan creations are public and Leonardo.Ai holds rights to use them, and the company says it is moving the API from subscriptions to pay as you go.

3. OpenArt

Best for: Creators who make as much video as images and want saved characters

How it differs from getimg.ai: OpenArt starts you on a trial plan with daily credits and no card, and its entry tier at $14 a month covers about 4,000 images. Chat Mode lets you "Chat to create anything", and the Character builder saves a likeness from reference images to reuse by tag.

Price: Starter $14 a month (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Commercial use rights are not listed on the Starter card, only from Plus at $34, and no mobile app link was found on the homepage.

4. Recraft

Best for: Designers who need vectors, mockups and brand styles next to raster images

How it differs from getimg.ai: Recraft has its own V4.1 models as well as Nano Banana, GPT Image, Flux and Seedream, and adds editable vectors, an image vectorizer and reusable custom styles. It has a free plan and apps for iOS and Android, and its Basic plan opens outside models at $12 a month.

Price: Basic $12 a month billed monthly (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Free plan images are public, owned by Recraft and not for commercial use, and subscription credits do not roll over.

5. ChatGPT Images

Best for: People who would rather ask for edits in a chat than work in a studio

How it differs from getimg.ai: ChatGPT makes and edits images in the chat itself: attach a picture as guidance, select one area and describe the change, or comment on images in Canvas view. It runs on the web, iOS and Android, and the free plan includes limited image creation.

Price: Go $8 a month; Plus $20 a month (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: ChatGPT uses one image model rather than a choice of model families, and image limits depend on your plan.

Visit ChatGPT Images

6. ImageQuarry

Best for: People who want to pick the model per request and keep a trail of every change

How it differs from getimg.ai: getimg.ai describes its models as auto-selected for the task, and its editor applies the change you type. ImageQuarry lets you choose among Nano Banana 2.1, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, with Nano Banana 2.1 as the default, and switch when you want a different result for the same request. Every change becomes a new version, and the prompts, references and earlier versions stay together in your projects.

Price: $9 a month on Starter; $29 a month on Pro (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Every ImageQuarry plan is paid and no Terms or rights policy is published. It makes still images only, so there is nothing to match getimg.ai's video, music and speech tools.

Who should stay with getimg.ai

  • You use video, music and speech as well as images, and want one subscription for all of them.
  • You work in a team and rely on shared spaces, folders and Elements built from up to 20 photos.
  • You need heavy upscaling, since Plus and Ultra upscale to 16K.
  • You call models from your own code and are happy to pay for getimg.ai API credits without a subscription.

How to try an alternative alongside getimg.ai

  1. Download the images you want to keep from your getimg.ai library while your plan is active.
  2. Collect the photos behind each Element (up to 20 per Element) in a folder, so you can add them as references in the new tool.
  3. Note which model gave your best results, since several alternatives also offer Nano Banana and GPT Image models.
  4. Spend the getimg.ai credits left this month before you change tiers, because getimg.ai credits do not roll over.
  5. Run two or three of your usual edits, such as a background swap, in the alternative and compare the results side by side.

Does not carry over: Elements, Team spaces, folders and one-click Actions are getimg.ai features and stay there.
