IMAGE VARIATIONS

Sticker variations: one motif, a whole sheet of options

Stickers are small, bold and usually sold in sets, so a good sticker idea needs several versions: the same character happy and grumpy, the same motif in three colorways, a simpler cut for small sizes. In ImageQuarry you describe or upload the motif, generate variations, and keep every version so you can assemble a sheet from the ones that work best.

Keep a strong outline, vary expression and color, and compare the set together.

How to explore sticker variations with ImageQuarry

  1. 01

    Describe the motif

Describe the character or object, the mood and whether it needs a white border, or upload your own drawing. Each prompt stays with the image it made.

  2. 02

    Generate variations for the set

Ask for variations that keep the motif and change one thing: the expression, the pose, the color or the accessory.

  3. 03

    Simplify for small sizes

Branch from the strongest version and ask for a simpler outline with fewer inner lines, so it reads when printed small.

  4. 04

    Compare the sheet

Compare versions side by side, choose the set and download them for your printer or shop.

Sticker variation requests

Expression set

Expression packs turn one character into a set people collect.

Colorway

Colorways let one motif fit different laptops and bottles.

Thicker outline

A clear outline makes the shape read and makes cutting easier.

Seasonal edition

Holiday versions of a popular sticker can sell well.

Simplified small version

Fine detail disappears on a two-centimeter sticker.

Text bubble

Short phrases are popular, but exact lettering is best set separately.

What makes stickers work

Shape first

Die-cut stickers follow the outline of the design, so a compact, simple silhouette cuts cleanly and looks deliberate.

Bold over fine

Thin lines and tiny text can blur or break when printed small. Choose variations with confident shapes.

Sets sell together

A character in several expressions or colorways often sells better as a sheet than a single sticker does.

Printers have requirements

Sticker printers usually ask for a cut line and a particular file setup, so treat the chosen image as artwork to prepare for that step.

Explore and branch

Generate variations to explore directions, and branch from any earlier version, not only the latest one.

Every version saved

Each change produces a new version and earlier versions are preserved.

What are sticker variations?

Sticker variations are versions of the same sticker motif with a different expression, pose, color, border or level of detail, used to build a sticker set or choose the design that prints best small.

They are not print-ready sticker files. Most printers need a cut line and a specific file setup, which you prepare from the chosen design.

Sticker variation questions

Can I start from my own drawing?

Yes. Upload it and describe the variation you want; your drawing stays in the workspace beside every new version.

How do I keep the character the same across a set?

Say what to keep, such as the colors and the shape of the face, and what to change, such as the expression. Review the new version to see how closely it followed that.

Can I use the first sticker to guide the others?

Add it as a reference for the next ones. References guide the result. Review each version to see how closely it follows them.

Should text be part of the image?

Leave space and set short phrases in a design tool, so the lettering is exact and crisp.

Can I compare a whole sheet?

Compare versions side by side, choose the set and download them.

Can I keep stickers organized by collection?

Finished work settles into named collections that keep their prompts, references and versions.

How small can a sticker design be?

It depends on the motif. Simple shapes with thick outlines usually survive small sizes; check the chosen version at its real print size before ordering a run.

Create an image. Edit it with words. Keep refining.
