Question

How do credits work in AI image tools?

A plan gives you a balance of credits, and each generation or edit uses some. Cost per request depends on the tool, the model and the kind of work.

Credits are a tool's unit of usage. Instead of pricing every model and image size separately, the tool converts each request into credits and subtracts them from your balance.

The rules differ by tool, so check three things. First, what one request costs: Adobe says the credit cost of premium features depends on the model, the output and the file size. Second, when the balance resets: Adobe credits reset monthly on your plan date and do not roll over. Third, what happens at zero: some tools stop, some let you buy more and some offer overage.

Failed requests are handled differently too. Adobe deducts credits up front and says credits for an unsuccessful generation are typically refunded within minutes.

In ImageQuarry, Starter includes 100 image credits a month and Pro includes 300. What one credit buys depends on the model and the operation.
