Question
Can AI generate vertical images?
Yes. Many current image models can make portrait and tall images as well as square ones, and their makers' documentation lists the shapes each one supports. Ask for the tall shape at the start, so the scene is composed for a vertical frame.
The shape is set when the image is made, so ask for it at the start rather than cropping a square image later: the model then composes the scene for a tall frame instead of having its edges cut off.
Vertical images suit Stories, Reels, TikTok, Pinterest and posters. Leave space at the top and bottom if text or app buttons will sit over the image.
In ImageQuarry you describe the image you want in plain words and can ask for a change to the composition on the version you choose. Check the result against the size your channel asks for.
