Question

Can AI generate photorealistic images?

Yes. Current image models can produce images that look like photographs, especially when the prompt describes the light, camera view and materials. Small details such as hands, text and reflections are where a realistic image can give itself away.

Describe the photograph, not only the subject. "Soft window light, shallow depth of field, slight film grain" tells the model what kind of photo it is making.

Check the details that models still get wrong: hands, text, the number of objects and how objects touch. OpenAI documents limits on text and precise placement for its image model.

In ImageQuarry you can fix a detail that looks wrong by asking for that change on the version you chose.
