Question

Can AI change the color of one object in a photo?

Yes. Name the object and the new color, such as "make the car dark green" or "change the sofa to rust orange", and the model recolors that object. Expect a close match rather than an exact brand value, because a color name leaves room for interpretation.

Name the object clearly when similar colors repeat in the scene, or the change can spread to other surfaces.

For a precise color, compare the result with the target swatch and adjust it in a photo editor if needed. A color reference image can bring the model closer than a word like "teal"; see Can I use a reference image for color only?.

In ImageQuarry a request like "Move the color into ultramarine and coral" gives a new version, and you can compare it with the earlier one before you download.
