HeadshotPro alternatives for professional headshots and photo edits

HeadshotPro is an AI headshot service at headshotpro.com: you upload a few selfies, choose styles, and download a set of professional headshots, sold as one-time packages from $29. People look elsewhere when they want to write their own prompts, since HeadshotPro describes no free-form prompting, or when they want edits beyond backdrops, outfits and blemishes. Aragon AI suits people who want headshot packs plus a general image generator, BetterPic suits buyers who want 4K headshots and human edits, and Photo AI suits people who want a personal model they can prompt. ImageQuarry is a general image workspace rather than a headshot service, for people who change an uploaded photo by describing each edit.

We make ImageQuarry, one of the alternatives below. HeadshotPro and each alternative were compared on headshot packs, styles, kinds of edit, your own prompts, platforms and price, using each vendor's public pages, checked October 20, 2026.

What is HeadshotPro?

HeadshotPro calls itself "The AI headshot generator for professional headshots" and promises "Professional headshots without a studio." You upload a few selfies from a phone or laptop, choose styles (or let it "Choose for me"), and download the results. Each package includes edit credits to change backdrops, swap outfits and remove blemishes. Individuals buy one-time packages, while companies buy credits for 5 to 1,000 people, with admins setting styles and tracking the rollout.

HeadshotPro is a headshot service, not an image generator: it describes no free-form text prompts, and what you receive is a set of headshots of the person in the selfies.

HeadshotPro pricing

Individual packages are one-time purchases; HeadshotPro lists no monthly or annual billing for individuals. Team pricing is per shoot from credit bundles, with volume discounts from 20% off at 5 credits to 50% off at 1,000 or more, and Enterprise is custom priced. Prices as of October 2026, from headshotpro.com. Check the vendor for current pricing.

What HeadshotPro does well

A short path to one result

The flow is three steps: upload selfies, pick styles or let HeadshotPro choose, then download. You do not need to write a prompt to get a usable headshot.

Pay once, no subscription

Individual packages are one-time purchases from $29 for 30 headshots to $59 for 70, so nothing renews after the shoot.

Edit credits, a redo window and a refund promise

Every package carries edit credits (6, 26 or 46) for backdrops, outfits and blemishes, and Professional and Executive add a redo within 14 days. HeadshotPro also says every package, individual or team, is covered by its Realism Guarantee: if the results do not look like you, you get a redo or a full refund.

Plain terms on rights and uploads

The terms license headshots for personal and commercial use, say inputs and outputs are not used to train models, and delete input photos 30 days after the gallery is generated.

Built for company rollouts

Team credits cover 5 to 1,000 people and never expire, and Enterprise adds SSO with SAML. The pricing page lists team tools such as per-team style and clothing pools, backdrop consistency enforcement, custom backdrops and outfits, tracking who is done, and bulk upload and download.

Where HeadshotPro falls short

No prompts of your own

HeadshotPro describes no free-form text to image generation; the output is headshots of the uploaded person in the styles you select.

Edits come in set kinds

Edit credits change backdrops, swap outfits and remove blemishes, and no free-form editing by written instruction is described on its pages.

4K only in the top individual package

Among individual packages, the 4K upscale is listed for the $59 Executive package only; 4K resolution downloads otherwise appear in the list of team features.

Web only, as far as its pages show

Uploads work from a phone or a laptop browser, and no native app download was found on the homepage.

Its own pages disagree in places

The homepage shows 3,592 Trustpilot reviews in one place and "3,480+ reviews" in its FAQ. The pricing page is also inconsistent on storage: one block says you keep and download your results, while its FAQ says uploaded selfies and generated results auto-delete after 30 days and that download links for kept photos last 7 days.

Why people look for a HeadshotPro alternative

  • You want to write your own prompts for scenes or concepts, and HeadshotPro describes no free-form prompt generation.
  • You want to ask for a specific edit in your own words, while HeadshotPro's edit credits cover backdrops, outfits and blemishes.
  • You want 4K headshots without buying the $59 Executive package, the only one with the 4K upscale.
  • You would rather work in a phone app than upload through a website, and HeadshotPro links no native app.

The 5 HeadshotPro alternatives

Ordered by how closely each one does HeadshotPro's job while answering the reasons above: dedicated headshot services first, then a personal model you can prompt, then tools that change a photo you upload from a written request.

1. Aragon AI

Best for: People who want headshot packs plus a general image generator and AI chat in one account

How it differs from HeadshotPro: Aragon sells one-time headshot packs as HeadshotPro does, and adds monthly subscriptions, a text to image generator and an AI Chat where Prompt Assist writes a prompt from a rough draft or an uploaded image. Its AI Editor has one tool per job, such as Clothing Changer, Background Changer and Pose Editor, and it has an iOS and iPadOS app.

Price: Basic pack $35 one-time (shown at 20% off); Aragon Lite $15 a month (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Basic and Standard packs limit you to 1 or 2 attires and backgrounds at 896 by 1088 pixels, and a refund depends on not downloading the photos.

2. BetterPic

Best for: Buyers who want every headshot in 4K and a human editor for specific fixes

How it differs from HeadshotPro: Every BetterPic pack delivers 4K headshots, where HeadshotPro keeps its 4K upscale for Executive. You can write a request for a human editor, such as removing wrinkles and dark circles around the eyes, and its AI Studio changes clothing and backgrounds in runs of 2 to 4 new images.

Price: Basic $35 one-time for 20 headshots (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Packs are for one person with capped styles and AI edits (2, 4 or 8), extra human edits cost $8 each, and refunds end once training has started.

3. Photo AI

Best for: People who want a personal AI model of themselves to prompt for any scene

How it differs from HeadshotPro: Photo AI trains a personal model from 5 to 15 of your photos and then generates photos of you from prompts and themed packs, so you are not held to headshot styles. Its Magic Edit changes a photo from typed text, with examples such as "Make it sunset on the beach".

Price: Starter $19 a month; Pro $49 a month (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: It is a monthly subscription, Starter is for personal use only, and writing your own prompts is a Pro plan feature.

4. ChatGPT Images

Best for: People who already have a portrait and want quick changes to it in conversation

How it differs from HeadshotPro: ChatGPT edits a photo you attach to the chat: describe the change, or select one area of the image and describe what should change there. That makes it a fit for adjusting a portrait you already have, without buying a package.

Price: Free plan (limited image creation); Go $8 and Plus $20 a month (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: Image availability and limits depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings, and image generation with Thinking is on Plus and Pro only.

5. ImageQuarry

Best for: People who start from an existing photo and direct changes in words over several rounds

How it differs from HeadshotPro: HeadshotPro's edits are credits for set kinds of change. In ImageQuarry you upload an image, ask for a change in your own words, such as a new background or different lighting, and get a new version while the earlier ones stay. A request can also name what to keep, for example the face and the crop.

Price: Monthly subscription: Starter costs $9, Pro costs $29 (as of 2026-10)

Limitation: ImageQuarry is not a headshot service, so it does not turn a batch of selfies into a styled set, and every plan is paid.

Who should stay with HeadshotPro

  • You need a matching set of professional headshots for a profile or a company page and would rather not write prompts.
  • You are rolling headshots out across a company and want admins to set styles, track progress and sign in with SSO.
  • You prefer one payment per shoot, with a redo within 14 days on the Professional and Executive packages.

How to try an alternative alongside HeadshotPro

  1. Download the headshots you want from your HeadshotPro gallery soon after the shoot, since its pricing FAQ says download links last 7 days and results auto-delete after 30, and keep your own copies of the selfies you uploaded.
  2. Spend any remaining HeadshotPro edit credits on backdrop or outfit changes before you move on.
  3. Choose the selfies you would upload again: Photo AI asks for 5 to 15 photos and BetterPic for 8 to 12.
  4. Run one look you know well, such as your usual backdrop and outfit, in the alternative and compare it side by side with your HeadshotPro set.

Does not carry over: HeadshotPro styles, edit credits and team credits stay with HeadshotPro, and another headshot service needs your selfies uploaded again.

HeadshotPro alternatives: questions

Is there a free alternative to HeadshotPro?

Aragon links a Free AI Headshot Generator page from its footer, though its pages do not say how much you get, and ChatGPT's free plan includes limited image creation, including edits to a photo you attach. HeadshotPro and BetterPic sell one-time packages, and Photo AI lists no free plan. Every ImageQuarry plan is paid.

Is Aragon or BetterPic cheaper than HeadshotPro?

Not at the entry level, as of October 2026. HeadshotPro Basic is $29 one-time for 30 headshots. Aragon Basic is $35 one-time for 40 headshots at a limited-time 20% off (regularly $44), and BetterPic Basic is $35 one-time for 20 headshots in 4K.

Which HeadshotPro alternative lets me write my own prompts?

Photo AI lets you prompt with your own trained model on its Pro plan, and Aragon has a separate text to image generator plus an AI Chat whose Prompt Assist drafts the prompt for you. HeadshotPro describes no free-form prompt generation.

Can I edit a headshot by describing the change?

BetterPic sends written requests to human editors, Photo AI's Magic Edit changes a photo from typed text, and ChatGPT edits an attached photo when you describe the change. In ImageQuarry you upload the photo and ask for a change in words, and each result is kept as a new version beside the earlier ones.

Is there a HeadshotPro alternative with a phone app?

Aragon has an iOS and iPadOS app, and ChatGPT runs on web, iOS and Android. HeadshotPro works in the browser, with uploads from a phone or a laptop, and no native app was found on its homepage.

How does ImageQuarry compare with HeadshotPro?

They do different jobs. HeadshotPro turns selfies into a set of headshots in the styles you choose. ImageQuarry is a general image workspace: start from a description or an uploaded image, ask for changes in words, and branch from any earlier version, on Starter at $9 or Pro at $29 a month.

Create an image. Edit it with words. Keep refining.

Start from your own photo and change it in words

Upload an image, say what to change and what to keep, and each result stays as a version you can go back to.
