DreamStudio, Stability AI's web image app, has been renamed Brand Studio: dreamstudio.ai now redirects to brandstudio.com, and Stability relaunched it as a creative production platform for professional teams, with model routing, Precision Inpainting and brand-trained models. People look elsewhere because the product is now aimed at brand teams, monthly credits expire at the end of each billing period, and choosing models through Curated Model Routing starts on the $50 Core plan. Stability's own API and ComfyUI fit people who want Stable Diffusion directly, and Leonardo.Ai, Krea and getimg.ai fit solo creators. ImageQuarry fits refining one image by describing changes, with Google and GPT Image models to choose from.

What is DreamStudio?
Stability AI's knowledge base says "Dream Studio, now named Brand Studio", and both dreamstudio.ai and beta.dreamstudio.ai redirect to brandstudio.com. The launch post calls Brand Studio "the end-to-end creative production platform" for "professional teams". Curated Model Routing picks among Stable Diffusion, Nano Banana, Seedream and other models, Precision Inpainting places what a guide layer or sketch specifies, Outpaint extends an image from a description, and the Library holds separate Project containers for clients or brands.
Brand Studio is not StableStudio, the open-source release of the original DreamStudio app that Stability announced earlier.
DreamStudio pricing
Prices are Brand Studio's, listed in a "Monthly Price" column only; no annual price is published. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of the billing period, and extra credit bundles can be bought on Creator. Core subscribers now get 6,000 credits a month, up from 5,000, for the same price. 2. ComfyUI
Best for: People with a GPU who want to run Stable Diffusion and other open models locally
How it differs from DreamStudio: ComfyUI is a GPL-3.0 open source app that runs Stable Diffusion 1.5, SDXL and SD3.5 alongside Flux, Qwen Image and others on your own Windows, Linux or Mac machine, offline if you like. It has built-in inpainting, outpainting and upscaling, and saves whole workflows as JSON. Comfy Cloud runs it for you when you lack the hardware.

3. Leonardo.Ai
Best for: Solo creators who want a daily allowance, phone apps and many models
How it differs from DreamStudio: Leonardo.Ai is built for individual creators: its $0 plan gives 150 fast tokens a day, and Essential at $12 a month adds private creations. It runs models from several labs, including FLUX.2 Pro, Seedream and Nano Banana, on the web, iOS and Android, and its API credit does not expire.

Limitation: On the $0 plan creations are public and Leonardo.Ai holds rights to use them, and its homepage does not describe editing an image by typing the change.

Best for: Creators who want to compare many image models with a daily allowance
How it differs from DreamStudio: Krea puts its own Krea models next to Flux, Ideogram, Nano Banana, Seedream and Recraft, so you pick the model yourself on every plan, including the one with 100 units a day. It adds a real-time canvas, an agent that plans and refines, LoRA training on up to 50 images and a public API.
Price: 100 units a day at $0; Basic $9 a month (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Monthly compute units do not roll over, and its FAQ names only the paid plans as including a commercial license.
5. getimg.ai
Best for: Paying solo creators who want typed edits and many models without a team platform
How it differs from DreamStudio: getimg.ai auto-selects among models such as FLUX 3, Seedream 5.0 Flash and Nano Banana 2.1, and its AI Image Editor changes an image when you type the change, such as "make the jacket blue". Every plan lists commercial rights and unlimited storage history, and the API is sold separately.

How to move from DreamStudio (Brand Studio) to another tool
- Use up your monthly credits before you cancel, since unused credits expire at the end of the billing period.
- Download the images you want to keep from your Brand Studio Library, project by project.
- Write down the prompts and the model you used for your best results; if it was a Stable Diffusion model, Stability's API and ComfyUI can run the same family.
