# Which model does ImageQuarry use by default?

Nano Banana 2.1, a Google image model, is ImageQuarry's default for generating and editing images, so it is the one in use unless you choose another. ImageQuarry also works with Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst.

Nano Banana 2.1 is a Google image model. You can choose a different model when you want a different result for the same request, and compare the versions side by side.

Conversational editing is the core of how ImageQuarry works: describe an image, ask for a change in plain words, and keep refining, with each change saved as a new version.
