# Which AI models does ImageQuarry use?

ImageQuarry works with four image models: the Google image models Nano Banana 2.1, the default, and Nano Banana Pro, plus GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Sunburst. You can choose a different model when you want a different result for the same request.

Every request starts on Nano Banana 2.1 unless you choose another model. When a result is not what you wanted, you can run the same request on a different model and compare the versions side by side. Earlier versions stay in the project, so switching models never replaces work you already have.

For what each maker says about its own models, see [What is Nano Banana?](https://www.imagequarry.com/faq/what-is-nano-banana/) and [What is GPT Image?](https://www.imagequarry.com/faq/what-is-gpt-image/).
