# What aspect ratio works best on Pinterest?

2:3, such as 1000 x 1500 pixels. Pinterest's product specs recommend 2:3 and say pins taller than 2:3 might get cut off in people's feeds. PNG and JPEG are accepted.

Pinterest's Business Help Center lists 1000 x 1500 pixels as the recommended standard image size, with a maximum file size of 20 MB on desktop and 32 MB in the app.

Pins are browsed in a narrow grid, so a tall image with one clear subject and a short, large title reads best. Check text letter by letter if the image includes words.

If your image is square or wide, extending it at the top and bottom gives you a 2:3 version without cutting the subject.

## Make a pin-shaped version

Ask for the change you want, then check it against Pinterest's 2:3 size and leave room for a short title.
