# How should I organize AI images across projects?

Organize by project first, then keep each final image with the versions, prompt and references that produced it, so nothing is separated from its context. That way you can find an image by the job it was for and still reuse or change it later.

File names rarely describe an AI image well. What helps is context: which campaign or client the image was for, which prompt and references made it, and which version was approved.

A workable structure: one project per campaign, client or product; the approved version marked clearly; earlier versions kept until the work ships; prompts and reference images stored with the image instead of in a separate document.

ImageQuarry organizes work in projects and a persistent library, and each version lives with the prompts, sources, references and conversation that produced it.
