# Does ImageQuarry keep every version of an image?

Yes. In ImageQuarry, each change you ask for produces a new version, and earlier versions are kept alongside it instead of being overwritten. Versions stay in the workspace with the prompts, sources, references and conversation that produced them.

That means you can compare a new version with the ones before it, continue from an earlier version if a later edit went the wrong way, and download the version you approve.

Versions also carry their context. Because each one stays with the conversation and references that made it, you can see why an image looks the way it does before you change it again.
