# ImageQuarry vs Tensor.Art: running community models, or refining images in a conversation

Tensor.Art is an online image generator and model hosting community: you run community checkpoints and LoRAs, build workflows, train models and use a "Design Agent Chat" to generate and edit. ImageQuarry offers four image models and focuses on refining a picture through conversation, with every version kept and branchable. Choose Tensor.Art if you want open models, training and workflows. Choose ImageQuarry if you want to describe changes and keep a clean record of each step.

_We make ImageQuarry. We compared it with Tensor.Art using Tensor.Art's own public pages, checked October 20, 2026, and say where Tensor.Art does more._

| References | Add source and reference images to guide the result | "Create from Reference" for an image or video from your reference or character |

| Price | Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month | App Store: Pro $9.90 for 30 days, $21.90 a quarter, $69.90 a year (October 2026) |

## ImageQuarry and Tensor.Art: the differences that matter

- **Open model ecosystem**: Tensor.Art hosts community checkpoints and LoRAs that run on the site, with navigation for Models, Workflows, Train and Forge. If you want a specific community style, or to train your own, that ecosystem is the main reason to choose it.
- **Price for a year of use**: Tensor.Art's App Store listing shows a yearly Pro subscription at $69.90 and a 30-day Pro plan at $9.90, and it sells credit packages from $9.90. ImageQuarry bills monthly through two plans, Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month and Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month.
- **One curated model list or many community models**: ImageQuarry offers four models by name: Nano Banana 2.1 (the default), Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. You switch between them when you want a different result for the same request, without browsing a catalog.
- **Edit history you can return to**: In ImageQuarry, each change becomes a new version, and versions live with the prompts, sources, references and conversation that produced them. Tensor.Art's captured homepage describes smart editing and a design agent chat but does not describe a version history.
- **Where the facts come from**: Tensor.Art blocked scripted fetches behind a Cloudflare challenge, so these facts come from a Wayback capture of its homepage (September 2026), a 2024 vendor notice and its App Store listing. Its prices differ between the 2024 notice and the App Store, so check the app before you buy.

## About each product

- **ImageQuarry**: ImageQuarry is a conversational AI image workspace. You describe an image or upload one, then ask for specific changes in words, such as new lighting, a different background or an added object. Each change makes a new version and earlier versions are kept, so you can make variations, branch from any version, add reference images and organize the work in projects and a library. You can choose between four image models: Nano Banana 2.1 (the default), Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. Plans: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, and Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month, with optional metered overage that is off unless you turn it on. Every plan is paid. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications or rights terms yet, and it is not a headshot or background removal tool.
- **Tensor.Art**: Tensor.Art describes itself as "an online AI image generator and model hosting community". Its homepage, as captured on September 23, 2026, lists a Design Agent Chat, Smart Edit, Create from Reference, Motion and Pose reference, Photoreal Studio and Brand Design, and hosts community checkpoints and LoRAs alongside workflows and training. It runs on the web and as an iPhone and iPad app sold by ECHO INTERNATIONAL HK LIMITED. The App Store lists Pro at $9.90 for 30 days, $21.90 a quarter or $69.90 a year; a 2024 vendor notice listed other prices, so the figures conflict.

## Which one fits your work

**Choose ImageQuarry when:**
- You want four named models and no catalog to browse
- You want every change saved as a version you can branch from
- You work across products, interiors, editorial and concept images

**Choose Tensor.Art when:**
- You want community checkpoints, LoRAs and workflows
- You want to train a model on your own images
- You prefer a low yearly price in the App Store
- You want pose and motion references

## How to try both on the same image

1. Write a prompt for a scene you have in mind.
2. In Tensor.Art, pick a community model with the style you want and generate; try the Design Agent Chat for an edit.
3. In ImageQuarry, generate the scene, then ask for a lighting change and an added object, keeping both versions.
4. Decide whether a particular community model mattered more than a kept, step-by-step edit history.
