# ImageQuarry vs Fotor: an all-in-one photo editor or a conversational image workspace

Fotor is an online photo editor and design tool with an AI image generator that offers models such as Nano Banana, Midjourney, FLUX and GPT Image. It edits by plain-text description, includes 100+ AI tools such as inpainting and upscaling, creates 4K images natively and states that generated images can be used commercially. ImageQuarry is a workspace focused on the conversation around one image: ask for changes in words, keep every version and branch from any of them, with four models to choose from. Choose Fotor for a broad toolkit and stated commercial use. Choose ImageQuarry for a clear version history while you refine.

## ImageQuarry and Fotor: the differences that matter

- **A toolkit or a conversation**: Fotor bundles more than 100 AI editing tools, including inpainting, upscaling, color correction, background removal and an image extender, alongside its generator and design features. ImageQuarry centers on one thread per image, where each written request makes a new version.
- **Stated commercial use**: Fotor's generator FAQ answers that all generated images are supported for commercial projects. ImageQuarry has not published rights terms yet.
- **Output size**: Fotor says it creates AI images at 4K natively and can scale to 8K, 16K and beyond with upscaling. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications.
- **Models and credits**: Fotor's pricing page lists per-image credit costs by model, for example Nano Banana 2.1 at 3 credits and Nano Banana Pro at 15, and unused credits roll over for up to 5 months while you subscribe. ImageQuarry offers Nano Banana 2.1 by default, plus Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, on plans with monthly image credits.
- **Keeping and branching versions**: ImageQuarry keeps every version with the prompt and references behind it, and you can branch from any earlier version or make variations. The Fotor pages read for this comparison describe generating up to 4 images in a run but not a version history.
- **Clear prices**: ImageQuarry publishes two plans: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, and Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month. Fotor's main pricing page loads its prices by script, and a separate Fotor pricing page, which may be older, lists Pro at $8.99 and Pro+ at $11.99 a month.

## About each product

- **ImageQuarry**: ImageQuarry is a conversational AI image workspace. You describe an image or upload one, then ask for specific changes in words, such as new lighting, a different background or an added object. Each change makes a new version and earlier versions are kept, so you can make variations, branch from any version, add reference images and organize the work in projects and a library. You can choose between four image models: Nano Banana 2.1 (the default), Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. Plans: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, and Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month, with optional metered overage that is off unless you turn it on. Every plan is paid. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications or rights terms yet, and it is not a headshot or background removal tool.
- **Fotor**: Fotor is an online photo editor and design tool with an AI image generator that creates images from text or from images. It offers models it names as Nano Banana, Midjourney, FLUX and GPT Image, edits by plain-text description, combines up to 8 reference images, and generates up to 4 images in a run at 4K natively. Its menu adds background removal, background change, object removal, an image extender, an upscaler and an AI headshot generator. Fotor states that all generated images are supported for commercial projects. Paid plans Pro, Pro+ and Max carry monthly credits that roll over for up to 5 months, with prices loaded by script on the main page. Fotor says it has over 800 million creators and runs on web, iOS, Android and Windows.
