Choose Bing Image Creator for occasional pictures at no cost. Choose ImageQuarry when you will revise one image many times and want the history kept.

## ImageQuarry and Bing Image Creator: the differences that matter

- **No cost against a paid plan**: Microsoft says Bing Image Creator is free for everyone with a personal Microsoft account. Its FAQ gives 15 fast creations a day before standard speed, while the create page says 10 fast creations and unlimited standard creations. ImageQuarry has two paid plans: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, or Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month.
- **How long your pictures stay**: Microsoft's FAQ says images you generate are stored for up to 90 days, and uploads for up to 30 days. ImageQuarry keeps work in projects and a persistent library you come back to, with each picture's prompts, references and versions.
- **Editing depth**: Bing Image Creator's FAQ describes an Edit image button and uploads you can edit, and does not document inpainting, expand or upscale tools. ImageQuarry edits by request on a selected version, keeps the earlier ones, and lets you branch or make variations.
- **Two Microsoft models or four to choose from**: Bing Image Creator lets you choose between MAI-Image-2.5-Flash and MAI-Image-2e, though uploads are always edited with MAI-Image-2.5-Flash. ImageQuarry offers Nano Banana 2.1, its default, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst.
- **Reach inside Bing and Copilot**: Bing Image Creator works on the web, as a miniapp in the Bing mobile app and inside Copilot Search and Bing Search, and Microsoft says it supports over 100 languages.
- **Published aspect ratios**: Bing Image Creator offers 1:1, 3:2 and 2:3 aspect ratios in its interface. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications.

## About each product

- **ImageQuarry**: ImageQuarry is a conversational AI image workspace. You describe an image or upload one, then ask for specific changes in words, such as new lighting, a different background or an added object. Each change makes a new version and earlier versions are kept, so you can make variations, branch from any version, add reference images and organize the work in projects and a library. You can choose between four image models: Nano Banana 2.1 (the default), Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. Plans: Starter at $9 per month with 100 image credits a month, and Pro at $29 per month with 300 image credits a month, with optional metered overage that is off unless you turn it on. Every plan is paid. ImageQuarry has not published output specifications or rights terms yet, and it is not a headshot or background removal tool.
- **Bing Image Creator**: Bing Image Creator, formerly Image Creator from Designer, is Microsoft's free tool at bing.com/create for anyone with a personal Microsoft account; it is not available to work or school accounts. You can choose between MAI-Image-2.5-Flash and MAI-Image-2e, upload your own images to personalize results, and use an Edit image button. The FAQ gives 15 fast creations a day, and the create page says 10, with standard speed after that and Rewards points for more fast creations. Images are stored for up to 90 days. Microsoft's pages disagree on whether a visible watermark is always added. It works on the web, in the Bing app and in Copilot Search.
