# Ideogram vs Recraft for design-ready images

Both tools are aimed at people who design with images. Ideogram builds its own models, which it markets for readable type, and adds Precise Edit, a layout Studio and task apps. Recraft generates and edits images, editable vectors and mockups, builds custom styles from your images and connects to Figma, Framer and Google Slides. Choose Ideogram for type-heavy raster layouts and commercial use on its terms; choose Recraft when you need vectors, print settings or design tool integrations.

_We make ImageQuarry, which is not one of these two products. We compared Ideogram and Recraft using their own public pages, checked October 20, 2026._

## Questions about Ideogram vs Recraft

### Are images public by default?

On Ideogram, yes, unless you are on Plus or Pro. On Recraft, Free plan images are public and paid plan images stay private.
