# Tensor.Art alternatives for running checkpoints, LoRAs and edits

Tensor.Art is an online AI image generator and model hosting community at tensor.art, where you run community checkpoints and LoRAs, build workflows and train models, with a Design Agent Chat for edits. People look elsewhere mainly because its published prices disagree (App Store prices differ from its own 2024 notice) and because its app is listed for iPhone and iPad only. Civitai is the nearest swap for the model library, SeaArt adds Android and iOS apps, Mage lists monthly prices plainly, and ComfyUI runs the same kind of models on your own machine. ImageQuarry is for a different need: refining one image through described changes and kept versions.

_We make ImageQuarry, one of the alternatives below. Tensor.Art and each alternative were compared on community models and LoRAs, training your own, how prices are published, editing in words, and platforms, using each vendor's public pages, checked October 20, 2026._

## What is Tensor.Art?

Tensor.Art's App Store listing calls it "an online AI image generator and model hosting community." The site hosts community checkpoints and LoRAs that run on site, and its navigation includes Models, Workflows, Train, Library and Forge. A September 2026 Wayback capture of the homepage, titled "FREE online image generator and model hosting site!", also lists a Design Agent Chat "to generate, edit, and perfect your designs", Smart Edit, Create from Reference, Motion & Pose Ref, Photoreal Studio and Brand Design.

_Tensor.Art is mainly a place to run and share models; editing a single image is one of its tools, not the centre of the product._

## Tensor.Art pricing

These are the in-app purchase prices on Tensor.Art's App Store listing, which does not name the currency symbol beyond USD. A Tensor.Art notice captured by Wayback in April 2024 gave different figures: a monthly Pro subscription at $9.9, quarterly at $19.9 and yearly at $59.9 (shown as 50% off $119.9). No live pricing page could be read because tensor.art returns a bot challenge to scripted requests. Prices as of October 2026, from tensor.art. Check the vendor for current pricing.

- Tensor.Art Day Pass Kit: USD 1.00 per one day (App Store in-app purchase)
- Tensor.Art Pro Plan (30 days): USD 9.90 per 30 days (App Store in-app purchase; the 2024 notice listed 1k bonus credits on monthly Pro)
- Tensor.Art Quarterly subscription: USD 21.90 per quarter (App Store in-app purchase)
- Tensor.Art Yearly subscription: USD 69.90 per year (App Store in-app purchase)
- Tensor.Art Credit packages: USD 9.90 to 59.90 one-time (3k credits for 9.90, 10k for 29.90, 30k for 59.90)

Prices as of 2026-10.

## What Tensor.Art does well

- **Community checkpoints and LoRAs you can run on site**: Model cards on the homepage capture are tagged KREA_2, Illustrious, Anima and Z-Image-Turbo, and the navigation covers Models, Workflows, Train, Library and Forge.
- **A chat agent for edits**: The homepage lists a "Design Agent Chat to generate, edit, and perfect your designs instantly", plus Smart Edit to "modify, enhance, or transform any image".
- **Reference and pose tools**: Create from Reference makes images or video from "your reference/character", and Motion & Pose Ref, Photoreal Studio and Brand Design are listed beside it.
- **Low entry prices in the app**: The App Store lists a Day Pass Kit at USD 1.00 and a 30-day Pro Plan at USD 9.90, and the app's release notes mention inpaint support.
- **Runs on Apple devices**: The iPhone and iPad app also runs on Apple silicon Macs and Apple Vision, according to the App Store; its listing shows 935 ratings averaging 4.6 out of 5.

## Where Tensor.Art falls short

- **Two sets of prices**: The App Store lists quarterly at USD 21.90 and yearly at USD 69.90, while Tensor.Art's own 2024 notice gave $19.9 and $59.9.
- **The site blocks scripted visits**: tensor.art answered with a Cloudflare bot challenge on October 20, 2026, so the homepage facts here come from a Wayback capture dated September 23, 2026.
- **App listed for Apple devices only**: Platforms found are the web and an iPhone and iPad app; no Android app was listed on the pages read as of October 2026.
- **Daily credits do not build up**: Tensor.Art's membership terms (last modified August 31, 2023, read from a September 2025 Wayback capture) say membership renews automatically and that the 300 daily credits it includes are refreshed daily and "cannot be accumulated". The same terms bind a membership to one personal account, and if Tensor.Art suspects account sharing, benefits can be cancelled with no refund of fees.
- **Few jobs at once during busy hours**: A temporary peak hours notice, captured by Wayback in March 2025, allowed Standard members one generating task and no queued tasks between UTC 12:00 and 20:00, while Pro members got two generating and four queued.

## Why people look for a Tensor.Art alternative

- You want one price list you can trust, and Tensor.Art's App Store prices (quarterly USD 21.90, yearly USD 69.90) differ from the $19.9 and $59.9 in its own notice.
- You create on an Android phone, and the only app listed is for iPhone and iPad.
- You want to run the same kind of checkpoints and LoRAs on your own hardware, outside a hosted site that answers scripted visits with a bot challenge.
- Your work is refining one picture, and Tensor.Art is built first around hosting models, with editing as one tool among many.

## The 6 Tensor.Art alternatives

### 1. Civitai

Best for: People who want the same kind of community models and LoRAs, with monthly memberships in dollars
How it differs: Civitai covers the same ground as Tensor.Art's model pages: its generator pairs SD 1.5, SDXL and Flux with community models, LoRA and embeddings. Membership prices are stated in dollars on its own pricing page, Bronze $10, Silver $25 and Gold $50 a month, and members get private model slots.
Price: Bronze membership $10 a month, or daily free Buzz (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Images not posted to your profile are kept for 30 days, and the generator guide does not mention inpainting.

### 2. SeaArt

Best for: Phone-first creators who want a community platform on Android as well as iOS
How it differs: SeaArt is the other community platform people weigh against Tensor.Art, and it links apps on both the App Store and Google Play. It names current models such as GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2.1 and Seedream 5.0 Pro, and edits from a plain description with up to 6 reference images.
Price: Free plan, 130 Stamina a day; paid tiers billed annually (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Work is visible to others unless Private Generation is enabled, and paid prices did not appear in the page text.

### 3. Mage

Best for: LoRA users who want plain monthly prices and creations private by default
How it differs: Mage includes LoRAs on Basic at $10 a month and lets Pro Plus members at $60 import custom models, with prices "Billed monthly in USD". Its docs say all creations are private by default, on every plan including Free.
Price: Basic $10 monthly in USD; Free plan with 300 Gems (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: No annual billing is shown, and membership Gems expire after 30 days.

### 4. ComfyUI

Best for: Technical users who want to run checkpoints and LoRAs on their own GPU
How it differs: ComfyUI is open source (GPL v3) and runs locally on Windows, Linux and macOS, so the models you used on Tensor.Art's hosted site can run on your own hardware. It saves workflows as JSON and has built-in inpainting, outpainting, reference conditioning and model merging. Comfy Cloud is a paid hosted version from $20 a month.
Price: Open source (GPL v3) locally; Comfy Cloud Standard $20 a month billed monthly (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: You build node graphs yourself, and running locally needs a capable GPU (the README says as low as 4GB of VRAM).

### 5. Leonardo.Ai

Best for: People who want to train a small personal model and use it on web, iOS and Android
How it differs: Leonardo.Ai lets users train or fine-tune their own models from "a small collection of images (typically 10 to 20)", where Tensor.Art users train on its Train page. It runs on the web, iOS and Android, and sells a pay as you go API.
Price: Essential $12 per month on monthly billing; free plan available (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: It does not host a library of community checkpoints the way Tensor.Art does, and free-plan creations are public.

### 6. ImageQuarry

Best for: People done with model hunting who want to refine one image through described changes
How it differs: Tensor.Art gives you a library of community checkpoints to choose from. ImageQuarry keeps the choice short: four image models, with Nano Banana 2.1 as the default, and the work happens in the conversation, where each change you describe becomes a new version and earlier versions stay.
Price: Starter is $9 per month and Pro $29 per month (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Every plan is paid, the model choice is the four listed models rather than community checkpoints, and ImageQuarry publishes no output specifications yet.

## Who should stay with Tensor.Art

- You rely on specific community checkpoints or LoRAs hosted on Tensor.Art, such as the Illustrious or Anima models on its homepage.
- You train models on its Train page and run them in its Workflows.
- You work on an iPhone, iPad or Apple silicon Mac and like the low USD 1.00 day pass.

## How to try an alternative alongside Tensor.Art

1. Write down the checkpoint and LoRA names behind your favorite results, so you can look for the same models on Civitai or load them in ComfyUI.
2. Save the prompts and settings from your best Tensor.Art workflows, since a workflow built on one site has to be rebuilt on another.
3. Download the images you still want to edit before changing plans.
4. Try one model-led job and one edit-led job in the alternative, and compare the results with your Tensor.Art output.
5. Check whether the alternative's prices are monthly, quarterly or yearly before comparing them with Tensor.Art's App Store prices.

Does not carry over: Models you trained on Tensor.Art, its Workflows and any unused credits stay on Tensor.Art.

## Tensor.Art alternatives: questions

### What is the best free Tensor.Art alternative?

For running community models without paying, ComfyUI is open source and runs locally on your own GPU. Hosted options with a no-cost start include Civitai, which gives free Buzz every 24 hours, and SeaArt, whose Free plan gives 130 Stamina a day. Every ImageQuarry plan is paid.

### Is Civitai or SeaArt the closer Tensor.Art alternative?

Civitai is closer for models: it is a hub for open image models and LoRAs with an on-site generator. SeaArt is closer if you want a broad creation app with community features and apps for both iOS and Android.

### How much does Tensor.Art Pro cost?

The App Store lists a 30-day Pro Plan at USD 9.90, quarterly at USD 21.90 and yearly at USD 69.90. A 2024 Tensor.Art notice gave monthly Pro at $9.9, quarterly at $19.9 and yearly at $59.9, so check the current price where you buy.

### Can I use my LoRAs somewhere else?

ComfyUI loads models and LoRAs locally, Comfy Cloud Creator ($35 a month) imports your own LoRAs from CivitAI or Huggingface, and Mage lets Pro Plus members import custom models. Check what Tensor.Art lets you download before you leave.

### How is ImageQuarry different from Tensor.Art?

Tensor.Art is built around choosing and running community models. ImageQuarry offers four image models and focuses on the image itself: you describe it, ask for changes in words, and every version stays so you can branch from an earlier one.
