# PixVerse alternatives for still images, editing and clear terms

PixVerse is a video-first AI platform: its own models (PixVerse V6, C1 and R2) make video, and its image side runs third party models such as GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana and Seedream. People whose work is mostly stills look elsewhere because PixVerse's terms say outputs are limited to non-commercial purposes while another line allows commercial use, and because membership credits expire at each new 30-day cycle. Leonardo.Ai fits image makers who want ownership spelled out on paid plans, Kling AI fits people who still need video, and Gemini fits casual edits by asking. ImageQuarry fits stills that go through many rounds of described changes, with each version kept.

_We make ImageQuarry, one of the alternatives below. PixVerse and each alternative were compared on still-image focus, editing in words, usage terms, how long usage lasts, platforms and price, using each vendor's public pages, checked October 20, 2026._

## PixVerse alternatives at a glance

| Tool | Best for | Price from | How it differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leonardo.Ai | Image makers who want the same model families as PixVerse with ownership stated for paid plans | Essential $12 a month on monthly billing; a free plan gives 150 fast tokens daily | Images lead, with GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5.0 Pro |
| Kling AI | PixVerse users who still make video but want a clearer commercial line and editable stills | Standard $6.99 the first month, $8.8 a month after that | Video-first too, with paid output marked for commercial use |
| Gemini | Quick edits by asking in plain words, on a phone or the web, at no cost to start | No-cost plan with image editing; Google AI Plus $4.99 a month | Ask the Gemini app to change the background, replace or add objects |
| ImageQuarry | Still images you change many times, where each version needs to stay reachable | From $9 a month (Starter), or $29 a month on Pro | Images only; each described change is saved as a version you can branch |
| Dreamina | Creators who want Seedream models first hand, with region edits and video in one place | Basic $15 a month billed monthly | ByteDance's own Seedream models, select-and-describe inpainting, Seedance video |

## What is PixVerse?

PixVerse describes itself as "The Generative Core Behind Digital Worlds and Experiences", with "Proprietary AI research in video generation and production". The homepage leads with Text and Image to Video ("Prompt or image in. Video out."), plus an Agent, Lip Sync, Templates, a Marketing Hub and a node Canvas for video workflows. Images come from third party models listed on its pricing page, from GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst and Flare to Nano Banana 2.1, Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5.0 Pro, and its GPT Image 2.5 page offers focused edits from a written direction.

_PixVerse's own models are video models; every image model it lists comes from another lab, so its still images look like those labs' output._

## PixVerse pricing

These prices come from a Wayback capture of PixVerse's subscribe page dated October 17, 2026, showing yearly billing. The same view shows comparison prices of $10 (Standard), $30 (Pro), $60 (Premium) and $249 (Ultra) a month next to a Monthly toggle, but the monthly view was not captured, so what PixVerse charges billed monthly is not confirmed. Credit packs run from 500 credits for $5 to 10,000 for $100. Prices as of October 2026, from pixverse.ai. Check the vendor for current pricing.

- PixVerse Basic: $0 per month (60 initial credits, 30 daily credits that reset each day, video up to 540P, up to 30 asset folders)
- PixVerse Standard: $8 per month, billed yearly as $96 (1,200 credits every 30 days plus 60 daily credits, up to 720P, watermark-free)
- PixVerse Pro: $24 per month, billed yearly as $288 (6,000 credits, up to 4K, watermark-free)
- PixVerse Premium: $48 per month, billed yearly as $576 (15,000 credits, up to 4K, watermark-free)
- PixVerse Ultra: $149 per month, billed yearly as $1,788 (25,000 credits, watermark-free)
- PixVerse Team Ultra: $149 per seat a month, billed yearly as $1,788 (25,000 credits in a shared pool, shared workspace and assets, role-based member management)

Prices as of 2026-10.

## What PixVerse does well

- **Its own video models with sound**: PixVerse builds its own video models: V6 is described as "1080p Video with Native Audio", and R2 as a "Real-Time World Model", alongside Lip Sync and consistent Character tools.
- **A long list of image models in one account**: The pricing page lists Qwen-image, four GPT Image models, five Nano Banana models, four Seedream versions and two Kling image models, so one subscription reaches several model families.
- **Focused edits from a written direction**: PixVerse's GPT Image 2.5 page says to "Name the exact change first, then list locked elements", and you can start from text or image references and refine inside the same workspace. An Image Region Editor mini-app is listed as well.
- **Relax mode for images on paid plans**: According to the captured credits FAQ, paid plans include "Unlimited Image Generation in Relax Mode" on the listed image models, and bonus credits never expire.
- **Phone apps, a CLI and an API**: PixVerse links iOS and Android apps, offers a command line tool that generates from the terminal, and runs an API Platform with its own documentation.

## Where PixVerse falls short

- **Two readings in the commercial terms**: The terms say use of outputs "is limited to non-commercial purposes unless you obtain separate authorization", while the same terms say downloaded information "can be used for both personal and commercial purposes".
- **Membership credits expire each cycle**: Per the captured FAQ, unused membership credits expire when the next 30-day cycle begins, and daily credits expire at the end of the day.
- **Monthly billed prices not confirmed**: Only the yearly view of the subscribe page was captured; the monthly amounts behind the $10 to $249 comparison prices could not be read.
- **Watermark-free output only on paid plans**: Watermark-free output is listed only for paid plans, and the Basic tier caps video at 540P.

## Why people look for a PixVerse alternative

- Your work is mostly still images, and PixVerse's own models are all video models, with images coming from other labs' models.
- You sell or publish what you make and want terms that read one way; PixVerse's terms both limit outputs to non-commercial use and allow commercial use.
- You create in bursts, and PixVerse's unused membership credits expire when each 30-day cycle starts.
- You want to pay month to month at a price you can check first, and the monthly billed amounts were not readable on the captured page.

## The 5 PixVerse alternatives

### 1. Leonardo.Ai

Best for: Image makers who want the same model families as PixVerse with ownership stated for paid plans
How it differs: Leonardo.Ai runs many of the same image families PixVerse lists, including GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5.0 Pro, next to its own Lucid and Phoenix models. Its pricing page says paid subscribers keep full ownership and copyright of what they generate, which is plainer than PixVerse's two-way terms. It also has iOS and Android apps and a pay as you go API.
Price: Essential $12 a month on monthly billing; a free plan gives 150 fast tokens daily (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: On the free tier, creations are public and Leonardo.Ai holds rights to use and distribute them, and its pages do not describe editing by typing the change.

### 2. Kling AI

Best for: PixVerse users who still make video but want a clearer commercial line and editable stills
How it differs: Kling is another video-first studio, so it can take over PixVerse's video work as well as its stills. Its plan list says content from Standard and above "is for commercial use", and IMAGE 3.0 supports local re-editing from natural-language instructions with up to 10 reference images. Purchased credits stay valid for 2 years.
Price: Standard $6.99 the first month, $8.8 a month after that (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Membership credits are valid for only 1 month, the free Basic tier has no monthly credits and is not for commercial use, and no annual prices appear on the official pages read.

### 3. Gemini

Best for: Quick edits by asking in plain words, on a phone or the web, at no cost to start
How it differs: In Gemini you upload or generate an image and ask for a change, such as a new background or an added element, with Nano Banana 2 on the no-cost plan. You can take texture, color or style from a reference photo, and the app runs on the web, Android and iPhone.
Price: No-cost plan with image editing; Google AI Plus $4.99 a month (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Images carry a visible watermark as well as an invisible SynthID mark, downloads are 1K without a Google AI plan, and you must be 18 or over to generate images.

### 4. ImageQuarry

Best for: Still images you change many times, where each version needs to stay reachable
How it differs: PixVerse is built around motion, and its image edits happen inside a tool aimed at video workflows. ImageQuarry does one thing: you describe an image or upload one, ask for a change such as warmer light or a new background, and the result arrives as a new version while earlier ones stay. You can branch from any of them, add references, and switch between Nano Banana 2.1, Nano Banana Pro and the two GPT Image 2.5 models.
Price: From $9 a month (Starter), or $29 a month on Pro (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: It makes no video at all, every plan is paid, and ImageQuarry has no published Terms or rights policy yet, so it does not settle the usage question that PixVerse raises.

### 5. Dreamina

Best for: Creators who want Seedream models first hand, with region edits and video in one place
How it differs: Dreamina is CapCut's platform, and it lists Seedream 5.0 Pro, Seedream 5.0 Lite and Seedream 4.5 next to Nano Banana Pro, with Seedance and Veo for video. To edit, you select an area and describe the change, and inpainting runs on Seedream 5.0 Pro. It gives free daily credits for images and video.
Price: Basic $15 a month billed monthly (as of 2026-10)
Limitation: Commercial creation is "subject to applicable terms, plan or model conditions", and the $1.50 first month is a promotion that ends October 23.

## Who should stay with PixVerse

- Video is your main output, and you rely on PixVerse V6 for clips with native audio or on Lip Sync and consistent characters.
- You build video workflows in the node Canvas or direct changes to motion through the conversational Agent.
- You script generations with the PixVerse CLI or the API Platform and want images and video from the same account.
- You make a lot of images on a paid plan and lean on Relax mode, which the captured FAQ describes as unlimited on listed image models.

## How to move your work out of PixVerse

1. Download the images and videos you want to keep from your PixVerse folders while your plan is active, since watermark-free output is a paid plan feature.
2. Write down which image model made each still you like (for example GPT Image 2.5 or Seedream 5.0 Pro), because several alternatives run the same families under their own names.
3. Spend this cycle's membership credits before you stop paying, because they expire when the next 30-day cycle begins.
4. Cancel the subscription itself before deleting your account: PixVerse says deleting an account does not cancel subscriptions, and tells you to back up your data first because the account is permanently deleted after 5 days.
5. Run two or three of your usual image briefs in the new tool, including one edit you would have made with PixVerse's GPT Image 2.5 page.

Does not carry over: PixVerse Canvas graphs, Agent sessions, Characters and Mini-Apps are PixVerse features; only the files you download leave with you.

## PixVerse alternatives: questions

### Is there a free PixVerse alternative for images?

Yes, as of October 2026. Gemini's free plan includes image generation and editing, Leonardo.Ai gives 150 fast tokens a day, and Dreamina hands out free daily credits for images and video. Kling's free Basic tier includes no monthly credits. PixVerse's own Basic tier starts you with 60 credits plus 30 a day. Every ImageQuarry plan is paid.

### What is the cheapest alternative to PixVerse?

Billed monthly, Google AI Plus is $4.99, Kling Standard is $6.99 for the first month and $8.8 after that, and Leonardo.Ai Essential is $12. PixVerse Standard is $8 a month only on yearly billing ($96 a year), and its monthly billed price was not confirmed. Credits are counted differently on each, so compare what you make rather than credit totals.

### Can I use PixVerse images commercially?

PixVerse's terms contain two statements: one limits outputs to non-commercial purposes unless you get separate authorization, and another says downloaded information can be used for personal and commercial purposes. Kling marks paid plan content as for commercial use, and Leonardo.Ai says paid subscribers keep full ownership of their images. Read the current terms of any tool before client work.

### Which PixVerse alternative has an API?

Leonardo.Ai sells a pay as you go API separate from its web plans, and Kling runs a separate API Platform with its own pricing page. PixVerse also has an API Platform and a command line tool.

### What happens to my PixVerse work if I delete my account?

PixVerse's account FAQ says deleting an account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel that separately. It tells you to back up your data first, because the account is permanently deleted after 5 days.

### How does ImageQuarry compare with PixVerse?

PixVerse is a video platform that also generates and edits images through third party models. ImageQuarry handles still images only: you create from a description or an upload, ask for each change in words, and keep every version so you can return to it or branch. It is sold as two monthly plans, Starter at $9 and Pro at $29.
